Job Description:

We are seeking an organized and motivated HR Assistant / Coordinator to provide day-to-day support to the Human Resources department. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional who enjoys working with data, technology, employees, and administrative processes.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing detailed information, working across multiple systems, and handling a high volume of tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Experience with an HRIS is helpful, but candidates with strong administrative and technical skills who are eager to learn will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the HR department and support daily employee-related activities
  • Maintain and update personnel records and documentation
  • Enter employee information into HR and business systems with a high degree of accuracy
  • Assist with new-hire paperwork and onboarding activities
  • Help maintain confidential employee files and documentation
  • Review HR data for completeness and correct inconsistencies when identified
  • Assist with HR reporting, tracking, and data requests
  • Use Excel to organize, maintain, and analyze employee information
  • Support HRIS updates related to new hires, employee changes, and departures
  • Assist employees and managers with routine HR questions
  • Provide additional support during benefits enrollment and other high-volume HR periods
  • Contribute to HR projects and other departmental initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in HR, administration, office support, data entry, or a related field
  • Interest in developing a career in Human Resources
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong computer and technical skills
  • Ability to learn new software, systems, and procedures quickly
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally
  • Dependable, motivated, and eager to learn
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
