Warehouse Associate

Beacon Promotions Inc DBA Mixie is a Minnesota based subsidiary of HPG. HPG's brands are top-rated leaders in their fields, with numerous awards under their belts for service, quality, and products that 'WOW'. As a top 10 supplier in the $25b promotional product industry, HPG sets the gold standard in hard goods.

Location: Eagan, MN

The Warehouse Associate position primary role is to assist the Inventory Control Lead with the various Warehouse/Receiving/Quality Control and Receiving responsibilities.

Essential Functions

  • Primary role is to supply production departments with material from on-site and off-site warehouses.
  • Maintains offsite warehouse by moving product into open areas and keeping organized.
  • Conducts Quality Control inspections as directed by lead.
  • Receives all non-inventoried items and delivers to department ordered.
  • Responsible for Returns, contacts customer service on when product has arrived.
  • Weekly Cycle Count as assigned.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, large truck) to assist with the workload.
  • Unloading shipping containers as needed.
  • Ensure inventory is properly labeled, stored in the correct location, and organized in an efficient manner.
  • Delivering of product from production floor to shipping locations throughout the day to ensure on time delivery of products to customers.
  • Return unused product from production floor to warehouse location.
  • Back up for shipping and samples departments.
  • Successfully pass and complete H2 safety and compliance training.
  • Other duties as needed.

• Must be able to work independently while acting as a proactive team member

• Able to work well under pressure to output high volume, high quality work

• Solution provider with a positive "can-do "attitude

• Ability to work overtime hours as needed

• May be required to take a math, number and inventory test.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk; use fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to read – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
  • Basic math skills and reasoning skills

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday – Friday 6:30 am - 4:30 pm but may vary slightly and can potentially include some Saturdays depending on season and workload.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred.
  • Experience in H2 rooms
  • 5S safety standard experience preferred.
  • One year of prior warehouse experience preferred.
