Job Description We are seeking a HPC administrator to join our team at a customer site. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise server platforms, HPC operations, VMware virtualization, data management, and infrastructure operations and a proven ability to deliver reliable technology solutions, lead customer engagements, and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities: Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Lead the creation and delivery of solutions that meet defined business needs. Act as a trusted advisor and maintain effective customer relationships to ensure satisfaction. Maintain current knowledge of leading-edge technologies and relevant market domains. Contribute to the solutions portfolio with technical knowledge, methods, and project learnings. Shape technical direction and strategy for customers and the organization. Meet chargeability targets and support revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Support business development and deal proposal efforts with technical expertise. Provide on-site technical support for the HPC environment, including SGI 8600 compute systems and supporting infrastructure. Administer and provide operational support for HPCM cluster management. Support the DMF storage environment, including upgrades, health monitoring, and coordination with the DMF team. Maintain and troubleshoot the CDU cooling system for stable operations. Perform hardware diagnostics and coordinate with the site administrator to maintain system stability. Facilitate weekly operational meetings and coordinate projects in a PM capacity. Provide additional site administration support and other duties as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 11+ years without a degree. Advanced subject-matter expertise across at least three major technology areas. Demonstrated leadership on complex projects with independent judgment and policy-aware decision-making. Enterprise virtualization skills, including VMware vSphere 4.x, vCenter, and VMotion. Experience with server platform management, Integrated Lights-Out (iLO), and Insight Control. HPC operations experience, including SGI 8600, HPCM cluster administration, and CDU cooling systems. Storage operations experience with DMF, including upgrades and health monitoring in coordination with storage teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication and client-facing abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience with Operations Orchestration solutions and automation workflows.
