Job description

We have immediate openings for Production Trainees for our Machining / Saw and Radius Department for Night Shift. Must be able to work Night Shift + Overtime.

Night shift is Monday-Thursday: 8pm - 6am.

Production Trainees start at $21/hr. Pay increase after receiving level 1 qualifications (within 3 ½ - 6 months depending on candidate training). Candidates will be subject to a 90-day probationary and training period.

Our Savannah Operations is a heavy industrial forging manufacturing plant located in Midway, Georgia, employs approximately 170 people and is poised for growth!


Candidates will perform a variety of tasks including the following: setting up and operating equipment for machining and inspections, operating hand tools, and other related general manufacturing work.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates MUST be able to work Night Shift
  • This position may require overtime on Fridays as needed and directed by operations
  • Subject to preemployment contingencies: drug test, physical, and background check

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • MUST be able to work any shift.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Machinist certification preferred
  • CNC machining experience preferred
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience
  • 1+ years of experience operating mobile equipment
  • 1+ years of experience using hand tools, power tools, and other related equipment

Physical Requirements:

Continuously required to wear common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats.

Ability to use computers.

Ability to read and understand work instructions.

Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions.

Continuously required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The ability to raise/lower an object with control by reaching near floor, knee, waist, or chest levels.

The ability to keep or regain balance or remain upright when walking on varying surfaces.

The ability to make precisely coordinated movements with fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, place or assemble.

The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently.
