Seasoned Commercial Handyman — Keep Working the Trade

Company Van • Monday–Friday • Steady Year-Round Work • Your Experience Matters

You've spent 20+ years learning the trade.

You know how to build it fix it remodel it and figure it out when the job doesn't go exactly as planned.

Now maybe you're ready for something simpler.

Less paperwork. Less managing. More working with your hands.

That's what this job is about.

Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is looking for a seasoned commercial handyman who would rather pick up a tool than sit behind a desk filling out paperwork all day.

You're not being hired to manage a crew.

You're not spending your day chasing jobs or writing reports.

You're here to work.

Every day brings something different. One commercial property might need doors adjusted and drywall repaired. The next might need trim work painting flooring repairs or a list of maintenance items that needs to get knocked out.

You'll work with local businesses property managers offices retail spaces and commercial properties throughout Northern Virginia.

You use your experience. You solve the problem. You get it done right.


What You'll Be Doing

You'll handle a variety of commercial repairs maintenance and improvement projects including:

  • Finish carpentry and trim work
  • Drywall repair and painting
  • Door and hardware repairs
  • Light plumbing
  • Light electrical
  • Flooring and tile repairs
  • Commercial walls ceilings and interior repairs
  • Exterior repairs and maintenance
  • Tenant improvement work
  • Punch-list and general building repairs

No two days are exactly the same.

What We're Looking For

You're probably a good fit if you:

  • Have 20+ years of hands-on experience in construction handyman work or the skilled trades
  • Have strong carpentry and remodeling skills
  • Have experience working in commercial buildings or properties
  • Can handle several trades without needing someone standing over you
  • Know how to troubleshoot and figure things out
  • Take pride in doing clean quality work
  • Know how to work around customers tenants and property managers
  • Show up on time and do what you say you'll do
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Have your everyday hand tools
