Bike & E-Bike Mechanic Not Afraid to Get Greasy!

Beachside Bikes

Manhattan Beach, CA • On-site

$20 - $24/hr

Full-time

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

Definition of a bike mechanic: A professional chiropractor for machines, part therapist, part wizard, who charges you $40 to remember that righty-tighty is a lifestyle and sends your bike home happier than you are.

Definition of a bike rental associate: A professional vacation enabler and vibe dispatcher, part concierge part fortune-teller, who hands a group of strangers $4,000 machines on nothing but a smile and a driver’s license, then somehow gets it back anyway even though you forgot to give them a lock.

So with that being said, are you someone who’s not afraid to get greasy while growing?

Here’s what we mean:

  • You know all the ins and outs of fixing manual bikes
  • You have experience working on e-bikes, or at minimum an interest in developing those skills (we can train you)
  • You want to be part of a growing organization aiming for 10 locations (that’s growth room for you)
  • You like being on time
  • You know how to sell customers on real recommendations that actually help — not useless add-ons — so both the shop and the customer stay happy
  • You know our customers can be a little tricky, but that doesn’t intimidate you. Remember: you’re part therapist

Here’s what you’ll get with us:

  • Consistent full-time hours, even in the slow months
  • Monthly tips that can put an extra $400–$1,000 in your pocket
  • Bi-monthly team dinners at popular local spots (we’re greasy on the bench and with our food!)
  • Clean, organized spaces so you can actually find the tools to fix the bike
  • Coworkers who actually like biking, so they’ll invite you on rides
  • Hands-on owners who mentor you and celebrate your wins, hands off enough to let you own your work
  • Managers who started right where you are — on the bench — and worked their way up. They know exactly what your day feels like, and they’re living proof you can climb too
  • Free weekday rentals for you and your family/friends (weekends are game time for all of us)
  • Real training so you keep getting better at your craft, not just staying the same

We’re currently looking for someone to help at either of our South Bay locations — Redondo Beach and/or Manhattan Beach. Available 5 days a week. Typically required on weekends.

Ready to roll up your sleeves and get greasy? Apply today!
