Full-Time, Hourly

Lunex Electric is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to help grow our commercial electrical contracting business. This individual will play a critical role in winning new work by preparing accurate and competitive estimates while also ensuring awarded projects are executed successfully from contract award through closeout.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical side of estimating and the leadership required to manage projects. As Lunex continues to grow, this position offers significant opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement.

What You'll Earn and Get

  • $73,000 - $80,000 annual salary based on experience
  • Commission based on wins
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Group term life insurance and short-term disability
  • 401(k) with company match after 90 days
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Training and certification support
  • A real path to leadership roles as we grow

What You'll Do

  • Review plans, specifications, and bid documents for commercial electrical projects.
  • Perform complete quantity takeoffs.
  • Prepare accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
  • Prepare bid proposals and submit bids before deadlines.
  • Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
  • Assist with identifying new bidding opportunities through software, public solicitations, general contractors, and existing client relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, owners, and suppliers.

What We're Looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical estimating or project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Stack/Trimble/Accubid or similar estimating software.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and construction practices.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience preparing competitive estimates for commercial electrical projects.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent field experience.

Why Lunex
We're big enough to offer steady commercial work and real benefits, but small enough that good work gets noticed and rewarded. Strong safety culture, respectful workplace, newer tools and equipment, and an office that actually supports the field. As we grow, our best electricians grow into leaders — and we'd rather promote from within than hire from outside.
