Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours, including admissions, consultations, and managing medical emergencies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services, to deliver high-quality care.
Ensure timely communication with patients, families, and referring physicians to facilitate care transitions.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety measures, and hospital protocols.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with medical records and billing standards.
Support the training and development of residents and medical students, as applicable.
Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Licensure/Certification:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Active Texas Medical License or eligibility for licensure in Texas.
Experience:
Prior experience in a hospitalist or nocturnist role preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage acute inpatient care efficiently.
