Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential community. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the property is well-maintained, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

This position requires a strong balance of operational oversight, financial management, and resident relations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on property management experience, a strong understanding of affordable housing programs, and the ability to lead with professionalism, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination to maximize occupancy and revenue
  • Manage leasing efforts by marketing vacant units, conducting tours, and executing lease agreements
  • Ensure full compliance with Fair Housing laws, LIHTC, Section 8, and other applicable affordable housing regulations
  • Maintain accurate property data, tenant records, and financial reporting using systems such as Yardi or OneSite
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance operations to ensure the property remains safe, clean, and well-maintained
  • Address resident concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare reports, contracts, and property documentation while maintaining organized records
  • Conduct routine property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards are met
  • Build and maintain positive resident relationships through strong communication and customer service
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support overall property performance
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4+ years of Property Management experience
  • Experience working with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC and/or Section 8 (3+ years of LIHTC experience preferred)
  • COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) and/or SCHM certification required
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing and landlord-tenant regulations
  • Proficiency in property management systems such as Yardi or OneSite
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service, conflict resolution, and communication skills
  • Solid administrative and organizational skills, including reporting and documentation
  • Experience overseeing maintenance operations and supporting property performance
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
