Role Summary:

At Goodwin Living, we are looking for a career-minded, energetic, and organized individual to join our Environmental Services Team as a Housekeeper. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing apartments, public areas, and facility restrooms, and/or other areas as assigned.

Shift: 6am-2pm M-F and every other weekend

This position pays $20/hr

Job Duties:

  • Cleans and sanitizes assigned area and/or resident apartments according to departmental guidelines.
  • Monitors supplies and linens in restrooms and ensures adequate availability of supplies and linens when needed.
  • Exercises care and proper handling procedures when using cleaning solutions and other hazardous chemicals.
  • Maintains cleaning carts in a clean and organized manner; stocks supplies as needed.
  • Performs sterilizing procedures upon vacancy of apartments, and nursing unit rooms, according to department guidelines.
  • Monitors for and records needed repairs, security locks, and other barriers interfering with cleaning activities.
  • Reports all defective equipment and unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Proficient verbal communication skills required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with others.
  • Must have ability to effectively communicate in English.
