Job description

At The Queen's Cue and Crescent Hotels & Resorts, we are a team of hospitality professionals that are deeply connected to & proud of the exceptional experiences we provide for our guests. More than that, we know our Associates are the shining stars of what we do!

We understand what it takes to be a part of something great. We will encourage you to bring your true self to work every day, we will celebrate you and we will cheer you on as you shine bright in your career journey. Whether it be our health & wellness programs, best in class learning and development or our travel discounts that ‘feed your inner explorer’, we work hard to create and deliver on what YOU need. We are ready for you to start your journey with us where You Belong. We Care. Shine Bright.

Job Summary

The Queen’s Cue, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking warm, engaging, and naturally charismatic Chamberlains - Guest Service Ambassadors to join our Front Office team in Stratford.

At The Queen’s Cue, the Chamberlain is the keeper of the welcome - the person who opens the door to the story of the hotel and helps each guest feel immediately at home within it. Inspired by the traditional role of a trusted household steward, our Chamberlains are the familiar face guests turn to throughout their stay, connecting them to the hotel, the city, and the experiences that make their visit memorable.

This is a role where personality matters. We are looking for people who are naturally curious, confident in conversation, and genuinely enjoy making others feel seen and remembered. From the first greeting to the final farewell, you will help shape the rhythm of each stay through thoughtful service, genuine connection, local knowledge, and an instinct for the small details that make a guest feel truly looked after.

Does this sound like you?

You have warmth, presence, and an easy way of connecting with people. You are comfortable starting a conversation, reading the room, and adapting your approach to the person in front of you. You enjoy learning about guests, remembering the little things, and finding thoughtful ways to make their stay feel personal rather than transactional.

Your day may include welcoming and checking in guests, managing reservations and payments, sharing recommendations around Stratford, coordinating special requests, completing administrative and Front Office tasks, and working closely with the wider hotel team to ensure each stay unfolds seamlessly.

You are composed when the lobby is busy, confident making decisions in the moment, and unafraid to let your personality come through in your service. Above all, you understand that memorable hospitality is rarely scripted - it comes from genuine conversation, intuition, and knowing when a small gesture can make a big difference.

What We Offer

  • An exceptional benefit plan for eligible associates & your family members.
  • RRSP matching program for eligible associates.
  • Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.
  • Hourly rate of $20.00.
  • 50% dining discount at The Queen’s Cue and The Boar’s Head Pub.
  • Discounts with Crescent managed properties in North America, and Marriott Worldwide for you & your family members.
  • A workplace that you can be proud of, where you are valued, trusted and supported by the team.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality, front desk, or customer service experience is an asset, but personality and a genuine passion for hospitality are equally important.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage naturally with a wide variety of guests.
  • A warm, approachable personality and a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused when handling guest concerns.
  • Comfortable learning and working with hotel technology, reservation systems, payment systems, and other digital platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and a polished guest experience.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively across Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other hotel departments.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain guest confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of Stratford, its attractions, restaurants, theatre, and local experiences is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

We welcome applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process. This posting represents a current vacancy and Crescent Hotels & Resorts does not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, and/or select applicants.

At Crescent Hotels & Resorts we strive to create a great place to work where associates at all levels of our organization are respected for their differences, just like the guests and owners we serve.  That’s why we are dedicated to creating an environment that facilitates open and honest conversations about race, equity, diversity, and inclusion.  By examining our own beliefs and behaviors, we can create change through training, recruiting, and promoting diverse talent to strengthen our culture.
