Here are some of the activities you'll assist your client with:

  • Engage in lively and meaningful conversations with your clients to foster strong relationships.

  • Help your clients get exercise from taking a walk to helping with washing dishes, the more valued they feel and more activities they can participate in the healthier they become.

  • Providing care according to the client's Plan of Care.

  • Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) tasks, including but not limited to:  Bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, incontinence care, toileting, menu planning, meal preparation, and feeding.

  • Light housekeeping including linen changes, and keeping their home clean and clutter free to reduce the risk of falls.

  • Provide transportation to doctor appointments, social activities, outdoor activities, and shopping.

  • Delivering exceptional care to the client in their home.

  • Complete daily tasks in a safe and professional manner.

  • Provide personal companionship, remaining actively engaged with each client by providing ongoing social & emotional support.

  • Keep order, safety and client enjoyment top of mind at all times.

  • Complete administrative functions such as documentation of completion of tasks, and reporting changes in the client’s physical condition, mental capability or behavior.

Position Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience as a Caregiver/CNA/PCA/DSP required.

  • Two Caregiving references if possible otherwise two work references

  • Must be 18 years old.

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

  • Live Scan Background Check

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Licensed driver with insurance and reliable transportation

  • Scrubs required

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image

  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information

  • Ability to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of situations

  • Must be reliable, dependable and on time

  • Can pass a background check and provide references

  • Empathy, compassion and kindness for the client is a MUST

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members
