This is a non-residential W-2 position that offers PTO, sick leave and a monthly health stipend.

We’re a family of five in Bellevue, WA, looking for a dedicated and proactive household manager to help keep our home running smoothly. Our household includes two parents and three children: one in college, one heading there this fall, and one in high school. We don’t have pets. With kids at different stages and activities, life here has plenty of energy — though weekdays while they’re at school tend to be quiet, giving you focused time to get things done.

We value organization, clear communication, and a clutter‑free home. While we appreciate warmth and connection, we equally value professionalism and the ability to work independently. The right person will step in and take ownership of the day‑to‑day — meal prep, laundry, organizing, vendor coordination — without needing constant direction.

This is a non‑residential position with flexible hours. We’re open to discussing a schedule that works for both sides, as long as the core needs of the household are covered.

As employers, we believe in mutual respect and creating a supportive environment for the people who work with us. We’re hoping to build a long‑term partnership with someone who will take pride in our home the way we do, and who helps make it a place where the whole family can relax and recharge.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For:

You're an experienced household professional with a strong track record in well‑run homes. You're skilled across the core areas: meal prep, laundry, organizing, vendor coordination, and comfortable owning the full scope of household operations. You thrive in busy family environments that reward initiative over waiting for direction.

You're highly organized and detail‑oriented, with sound judgment about when to make a decision yourself and when to check in. You balance a warm, friendly presence with clear professional boundaries, and you’re the kind of dependable proactive team player who keeps things running so the rest of the household can focus on what matters most to them.

Key Responsibilities:

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Maintain household organization systems
  • Daily resets and prep home for biweekly cleaners (inclusive of decluttering and managing ongoing tidiness in kitchen, living room, common areas, etc.)
  • Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high‑traffic areas)
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop‑offs
  • Unpacking assistance after family travel
  • Indoor plant watering and care
  • Change batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors as needed

Meal Support

  • Plan 3-4 meals per week with focus on healthy, flavorful options
  • Meal prep including chopping, marinating, and batch preparation
  • Grocery shopping and ordering (primarily via Instacart)
  • Familiarity with varied cuisines is a plus!
  • Follow dietary needs/preferences: Strict awareness of tree nut and finned fish allergies in the home
  • Kitchen cleanup, tidiness and maintenance

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash/fold/organize and put away laundry
  • Ironing/steaming and special garment care
  • Maintain tidy and well stocked laundry areas

Inventory & Errands

  • Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies
  • Manage running household supply lists
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
  • Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Mail and package handling
  • Breakdown boxes

Family Support

  • Occasional support with school pick‑ups or driving to and from extracurricular activities.

Vehicle Management

  • Schedule maintenance
  • Fueling/cleaning and car wash/organizing vehicles

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Research/coordinate repairs and quotes (e.g., plumbers, electricians, handymen, and other service providers)
  • Oversee vendors such as cleaners/contractors/landscapers
  • Coordinate seasonal property maintenance

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Refresh garage, mudroom, and entry areas
  • Clean humidifiers and air purifiers
  • Ongoing organizational projects throughout the home
  • Spring cleaning and one‑off organizing projects
