Description

POSITION: House Manager 

REPORTS TO: Executive Director 

JOB SUMMARY: The House Manager is responsible for the execution and coordination of the daily administrative tasks needed to support the nursing staff, including participation in regularly scheduled on-call rotation. The House Manager reports directly to the Community Nurse. This position is full-time and requires the role to be accessible during regular business hours as part of the on-call rotation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Represent Frontida with professionalism, always embracing Frontida's culture, which includes "treating others as you would like to be treated."
  • Serves as primary contact/coordinator for case managers 
  • Resolve resident/case manager/family complaints- informing the appropriate persons as needed
  • Relieves the Care Concierge for their lunch break as needed
  • Conducts tours and assessments as needed
  • Provides assistance with new resident assessments as needed
  • Maintains hospitalization Census report for billing department
  • Investigates employee issues as needed 
  • Monitors care staff to ensure compliance with company policies 
  • Works with team to ensure non-compliant employees (CEU and CBRF classes) are removed from the schedule until compliant 
  • Communicates with executive director, nurse and human resources to maintain appropriate staff levels 
  • Reviews schedule to minimize overtime 
  • Coordinates new residents' requests such as podiatry, dental or eye care, sending relevant information to medical offices and to Healthdrive, creating schedules for dental/eye exams
  • Schedule doctor appoints and/or follow up appointments for residents, coordinates escorts as needed
  • Coordinate physician ordered therapy
  • Communicates new arrival times with nursing
  • Provides visiting doctors with resident information for visits including resident weight, vitals, or other information as requested by physician
  • Schedule transportation needs
  • Create appointment envelopes
  • Complete Doctor requests pre-visit paperwork for residents
  • Create weekly schedule of resident appointments so that caregivers can assist residents to be ready on time and inform the staff of which residents are not on campus  
  • Communicates outside facility Doctor visits with family and coworkers
  • Handles all coordination of ISP schedule with nursing team, family members, case managers, hospice and other relevant parties including dates and times, therapy needs or hospice as needed
  • Assists nursing with resident cares
  • Ensures that ISP is accessible and accurate, monitors compliance of staff in electronic record running routine reports/dashboards.
  • Maintains care records including shower sheets, incident reports, DNR bracelets and other relevant data as requested by the Community Nurse.
  • Assist with interviewing, orientation and onboarding or new staff.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain constructive working relationships 
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
  • Promote Frontida Assisted Living in a positive way.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: Must complete probationary period successfully. Needs effective supervisory skills. Must be able to communicate and work with all levels of the company's Employees effectively. Ability to work flexible hours and days to meet the requirements of the job. Ability and willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately and apply basic management principles. College degree and experience is preferred. Must have a history of actively demonstrating Frontida's culture and exhibiting extraordinary care toward Frontida's residents.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have the ability to regularly sit, occasionally required to kneel, crouch, and stand.
  • Must be able to travel to the office and work frequently on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, 30 pounds regularly.
  • Is free of non-treated communicable diseases.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
