Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Care Manager for a day-shift Case Management position requiring 5+ years of experience and a ME or compact RN license.
Job Details
• Work in the Care Management department of a hospital setting,
• Patient ratio of 1:20-24,
• Day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM,
• 13-week contract assignment,
• Every third weekend required,
• Holiday coverage required,
• No on-call requirements,
• Float required to cover Care Management department needs within a 25-mile policy between facilities,
• Uses Epic EMR,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license (ME or Compact) required,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• 5+ years of experience preferred for this specialty,
• Discharge planning and care coordination experience required,
• Driver's License required for consideration,
• 2 professional references required,
• AHA certifications must be completed before start date if non-AHA certifications are submitted,
Additional Information
• Responsible for discharge planning and care coordination for assigned patients,
• Ideal candidate is flexible, easygoing, and a calm problem solver with a can-do attitude,
• Any scrubs or professional casual dress is acceptable,
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions,
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during the application process,
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at the manager's discretion,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
