Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Receiving & Inventory Support role is responsible for assisting with the receipt, handling, organization, and distribution of materials and equipment. This position helps ensure all materials are tracked accurately and stored safely to support project and field operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials and equipment
  • Label and stage items in designated warehouse and yard locations
  • Perform inventory counts, maintain logs, and report discrepancies
  • Support outbound material transfers and job site requests
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Assist with documentation of receipts, deliveries, and returns
  • Communicate with leads and supervisors regarding shortages or issues
    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Basic knowledge of receiving and inventory practices
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with recordkeeping
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling tools
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 12 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial support role preferred
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
    • WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Work Environment: Work performed in field environments including construction sites, powerline projects, and industrial facilities. Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures, noise, dust, and hazardous work areas.
  • Physical Activity: Requires ability to walk, stand, climb, and perform inspections for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, FR clothing, fall protection, etc.)
  • Work Schedule: Fulltime; may require overtime, shift work, weekends, and emergency callouts
  • Travel: May require travel to various job sites
