Job description

Network Estimator/Structured Cabling Estimator/Low Voltage Estimator required to join a leading electrical contractor based in Texas.


The successful Network Estimator/Structured Cabling Estimator/Low Voltage Estimator will join an established electrical contractor, taking responsibility for estimating and supporting the delivery of large-scale commercial technology infrastructure projects within the mission critical industry.

The Network Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, reviewing project specifications, completing material and labor takeoffs, and supporting the preconstruction process for complex structured cabling and low-voltage technology installations.

Working closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, and field teams, the Network Estimator will play a key role in developing competitive bids and supporting the successful delivery of major commercial developments, including data centers and other mission critical facilities.

Network Estimator Role:

  • Prepare detailed estimates for large-scale commercial structured cabling and technology infrastructure projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements and scope.
  • Complete material takeoffs, labor estimates, and pricing analysis to develop accurate project proposals.
  • Obtain vendor pricing and coordinate with suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Support the preconstruction process, including scope reviews, RFIs, value engineering, and bid submissions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure successful project handover.
  • Identify potential risks, scope gaps, and cost impacts throughout the estimating process.
  • Support the delivery of complex commercial technology projects, including mission critical and data center developments.


Network Estimator Requirements:

  • Experience as a Network Estimator, Structured Cabling Estimator, Low Voltage Estimator, Technology Systems Estimator, or similar role.
  • Proven experience estimating commercial structured cabling, low-voltage, or technology infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, project documentation, and estimating procedures.
  • Experience with structured cabling systems, including fiber, copper, pathways, and data center infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including BICSI and TIA/EIA is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with manufacturers such as CommScope, Panduit, or similar is preferred.
  • RCDD certification is highly desirable.
  • Data center, healthcare, or other mission critical project experience is a strong advantage.
  • Living in Texas or willing to relocate.
