Job description

We are looking for full time experienced company truck drivers to serve our local transportation department. Our company freight manages several large companies meaning we are able to guarantee no slow periods with work year around. We need hard working and dedicated drivers to join our team and help build this company as one of the best in the US. Responsibilities

Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers

Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance

Inspect their trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.

Plan routes and meet delivery schedules

Document and log work/rest periods

Comply with truck driving rules and regulations

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

Collect and verify delivery instructions

Report defects, accidents or violations

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL

Proven work experience as a truck driver (minimum 2 years)

Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELD, TMS)

Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly

Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

No DUI or major driving violations

Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
