Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse looking for a new opportunity? Masconomet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team!
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at our facility, you will provide direct nursing care to patients and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by certified nursing assistants. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver optimal quality of care for patients on assigned units, adhering to established standards of practice and facility policies and procedures
• Follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
• Complete processes for patient admission, transfer, and discharge, ensuring seamless transitions and exceptional care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including incident reports and accident investigations
• Provide education and guidance to certified nursing assistants to ensure quality care and support
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of patients served
Requirements:
• Must possess a minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate from an approved RN program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed nurse (LPN or RN) in a skilled nursing facility, with on-the-job training provided
• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Massachusetts
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Knowledge and understanding of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to relay information concerning patient conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff members
