Job description

Description
Genpact (NYSE: G) is an agentic and advanced technology solutions company. We leverage process intelligence and artificial intelligence to deliver measurable outcomes. With a strong partner ecosystem and decades of client trust, we provide innovative solutions that transform how businesses run. Powered by a team with an active learning mindset and client centricity at its core, we deliver lasting value for the world's leading enterprises.
This posting is for a position within the Experience unit at Genpact. Experience is Genpact's capability for designing and improving the platforms, interactions and journeys employees and customers use every day. With deep expertise across leading platforms like Adobe, Microsoft, Sitecore, and Optimizely, we unite strategy, human-centered design, engineering and AI inside core enterprise systems, so experiences don't just look better, they perform better, drive adoption and turn advanced technology into measurable business outcomes at scale.
Our Commitment to YOU!
No matter who you are, where you come from, who you love, what you believe, or what you get excited about, we bring people together to make phenomenal work. That's what makes us Genpact!
The Opportunity
We're looking for an M365 Copilot Software Engineer to build and scale enterprise-grade cloud solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem for Genpact Experience. This is a lead role in the engineering, development, and consulting of Copilot and AI centered on Copilot and the Azure stack as a foundation, extending into the M365 Development, API, and integration layer that connects modern front-end experiences such as Next.js and React web apps through SPFx.
You'll design and build integrations across the M365 tenant landscape: SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics, and Microsoft Graph, alongside SQL and document databases and Microsoft Fabric for data and analytics. On the AI side, you'll bring Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Cognitive Search, and Azure Machine Learning into production solutions building agentic and generative AI capabilities directly into the platforms our clients rely on every day.
If you're a builder who's equally comfortable architecting and developing end-to-end Agentic Solutions, wiring up an SPFx front end, and shipping practical AI features that make a real difference for end users, this is your role.
***Please note that this role is based in Houston with an in-office/hybrid model.
If you are not in the Houston area, you will be required to be working IN Houston (3-4 days/week)***
What You'll Do:
• Design, build, and operate cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure using .NET/C# as the primary foundation, applying sound architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Build and maintain the front end SPFx, API, and Azure supporting layer connecting backend services to modern front-ends via SharePoint, Teams and other M365 tools.
• Integrate enterprise backend systems including SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph including native and custom connectors, ensuring secure, reliable data flow across the ecosystem.
• Design and implement AI-powered features and agentic experiences using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Cognitive Search, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Architect solutions for performance, security, and scale applying sound patterns for authentication/authorization, caching, messaging, and resilient service-to-service communication.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, driving automated build, test, and deployment across environments.
• Use AI-driven development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex) to accelerate delivery, prototype faster, and raise the bar on code quality across the team.
• Partner with middleware and mobile engineers to define clean API protocols using M365 and Azure as a backend.
• Serve as a technical lead on client engagements, translating business requirements into pragmatic architecture and mentoring developers through code reviews and hands-on guidance.
• Collaborate with architects across the Experience practice to ensure backend and integration decisions align with the broader platform strategy.
• Contribute to Genpact Experience's Microsoft practice through reusable accelerators, internal tooling, and documentation that raise delivery quality across engagements.
What We're Looking For:
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with deep expertise in M365 and Microsoft Azure as a foundation.
• Proven experience designing and building M365 applications and solutions, SPFx components, and integration layers connecting M365 tools via secured APIs.
• Hands-on experience with the M365 security suite of Entra, Purview, and SharePoint Advanced Management.
• Experience working with the full M365 suite of tools and familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for data and analytics.
• Practical experience building AI-powered features using Microsoft Copilot Studio/Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure Cognitive Search.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture patterns: microservices, event-driven design, caching, messaging, and secure API design.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex) as part of the daily engineering workflow.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work directly with clients and cross-functional teams and to mentor other developers.
• Prior experience in consulting, agency, or multi-client delivery environments is a plus.
What sets you apart:
• Microsoft certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Power Platform, or similar).
• Experience with Next.js/React front-end development and SPFx frameworks, as well as Azure resource management and build out, API Management and scripting via PowerShell/CSOM.
• Familiarity with agentic AI patterns and multi-agent orchestration frameworks (Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar).
• Deep experience with Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry to solve problems and show organizational value.
• Background designing solutions across hybrid on-prem/cloud environments, particularly involving M365 and SharePoint migrations.
• Track record of building internal accelerators, frameworks, or reusable components that scale across client engagements.
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, legal) with attention to security and compliance requirements.
What Genpact:
• Flexible PTO and work schedule
• Hybrid or fully remote work options
• Comprehensive insurance coverage and flexible spending accounts
• 401(k) with company matching
• Monthly work-from-home stipend
• Continuous training, certifications, and learning opportunities
• Regular cultural and social events: volunteering, game nights, happy hours, team outings, and more
• Active Employee Resource Groups (Parents, Pride, POC, Womxn)
• Mentorship and career development programs
