Are you a hospitalist, private practice physician, or existing principal investigator looking to supplement your income and contribute to medical innovation-without adding administrative burden or sacrificing your clinical autonomy? Join Clinitiative Health Research's ClinPI™ Program, a nationwide initiative that matches board-certified physicians with local, flexible clinical trial opportunities based on your specialty and availability.
No research experience required. We provide full training, mentorship, and support.
Opportunity Highlights
  • Flexible schedule: Set your own hours (typically 5-10+ hours/week)
  • Local studies only: Opportunities are based in the city where you currently live or practice
  • Minimal administrative work: Site staff manages study paperwork
  • Standard-of-care clinical work: No procedures outside typical patient care within the protocol
  • Malpractice covered: No additional insurance needed-you are indemnified by the sponsor
  • Study durations: Trials typically last 3 to 12 months

The Process
  1. Apply online
  2. Complete your physician career profile (medical background, specialty, clinical preferences)
  3. Upon approval, you are registered into the ClinPI™ Program
  4. You will receive portal access where you can:
    • Register for our clinical research training course
    • View available trials in your area
    • Apply to studies that fit your interests, specialty, and time availability
  5. Once matched, we will connect you with the participating research site for onboarding and trial initiation

Role Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator on studies
  • Conduct study visits aligned with standard-of-care clinical duties
  • Ensure compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with study coordinators and site teams
  • Maintain GCP standards (certification provided if not already completed)
