Salary: $100,000-$140,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt
Industry: Electric Utilities | Transmission & Distribution | Engineering Consulting

About Us:

EDM International, Inc. (EDM) is seeking an experienced Senior T&D Asset Management Specialist to lead consulting projects and provide technical expertise to electric utility clients.

If you have demonstrated experience in transmission and distribution (T&D) asset management, utility reliability, risk assessment, pole asset management, and lifecycle planning, this is an opportunity to put that expertise to work solving complex infrastructure challenges.

EDM is an employee-owned company, which means our employees have the opportunity to share in the success of the company we're building together.

What You'll Do

  • Lead electric utility T&D asset-management consulting projects.
  • Develop inspection programs, maintenance strategies, and asset-management plans.
  • Guide utilities in managing wood and steel pole assets, including inspection and service-life extension programs.
  • Perform asset condition, risk, and criticality assessments.
  • Apply predictive modeling and lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Conduct failure analysis and forensic engineering investigations.
  • Develop strategies to improve system reliability, resiliency, and risk reduction.
  • Support proposals, business development, and client engagements.
  • Track project performance, KPIs, and resources.
  • Provide technical leadership, supervision, and mentoring.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science/Engineering, Wood Science/Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with an emphasis on structures/materials.
  • 10+ years of experience in electric utility T&D asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of utility system reliability, grid vulnerability, and risk-reduction strategies.
  • Understanding applicable utility regulatory requirements, including FERC/NERC reliability requirements and state wildfire-mitigation regulations.
  • Strong analytical, project leadership, client engagement, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

Preferred:

  • Master's or PhD degree
  • PE license
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 asset-management standards
  • Knowledge of G.O. 95 and NESC requirements

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $100,000-$140,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, technical expertise, licensure, and other job-related factors.

This position is eligible for year-end bonus.

EDM offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Potential for employee ownership
  • 401(k) with variable company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation and sick time
  • Short- and long-term disability
  • Life insurance
  • Supplemental benefits through Aflac
  • Post-secondary tuition reimbursement
  • Professional licensure reimbursement

Location

Fort Collins, Colorado is preferred, but a remote arrangement may be considered for the right candidate. This position includes office and field responsibilities and may require travel to utility project locations.

Make an Impact at EDM

Bring your utility expertise to a team where you can lead meaningful projects, help clients make smarter infrastructure decisions, and contribute to the success of an employee-owned company while maintaining a work-life balance.
