Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals and experienced individual investors with strong backgrounds in retail investment research, equity analysis, market monitoring, investment thesis development, and structured financial reasoning workflows.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured investment research review, public market analysis, equity research workflows, market event interpretation, investment thesis assessment, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their investing and market research expertise to review realistic investor scenarios, evaluate market information, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based investment research tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Equity Research & Investment Thesis Review

  • Research stocks, ETFs, sectors, and market trends using publicly available or professional research tools
  • Review investment scenarios involving company fundamentals, catalysts, risks, market narratives, and valuation considerations
  • Form or evaluate investment theses with clear entry and exit reasoning, supporting evidence, and documented assumptions
  • Identify gaps in reasoning, missing context, unsupported conclusions, or misleading interpretations in investment research outputs

Market Monitoring & Signal Assessment

  • Analyze price movements, market events, earnings reactions, macro developments, and sector-level trends
  • Distinguish between short-term noise, meaningful signals, sentiment shifts, and material business developments
  • Support structured review of market narratives, behavioral patterns, investor sentiment, and news-driven price action
  • Prepare clear written explanations for why a security moved and whether the move appears meaningful based on available information

Investor Workflow & Research Quality Support

  • Simulate real-world investor workflows including idea discovery, validation, portfolio monitoring, watchlist review, and decision support
  • Evaluate financial summaries, research notes, market commentary, and recommendation-style outputs for clarity, usefulness, and accuracy
  • Assess whether research outputs improve decision confidence, clarify tradeoffs, or create confusion
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • Active participation in public markets, including equities, ETFs, sector funds, or similar publicly traded instruments
  • Experience independently researching, tracking, and evaluating investment opportunities
  • Strong ability to explain market movements, company-specific news, catalysts, risks, and investor sentiment
  • Familiarity with tools and sources such as TradingView, Yahoo Finance, Google Finance, SEC filings, financial news, Reddit, X/Twitter, screeners, brokerage platforms, or similar resources
  • Clear written communication skills and ability to explain investment reasoning in a structured way
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and produce evidence-based work

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in finance, economics, accounting, business, investment analysis, data analysis, or a related quantitative field is helpful
  • Equivalent practical experience in self-directed investing, equity research, market analysis, portfolio monitoring, or financial content analysis is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • Experience with advanced research tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, Koyfin, Morningstar, PitchBook, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with technical analysis, financial statements, valuation methods, macroeconomic indicators, sector research, or risk analysis
  • Experience documenting trades, investment theses, watchlists, portfolio decisions, research notes, or investment outcomes
  • Strong curiosity about public markets and continuous improvement in investment decision-making
  • Ability to balance conviction with openness to new information and changing market conditions

Why This Opportunity

  • Apply retail investment research and market analysis expertise to structured remote project work
  • Contribute to high-quality equity research review, market interpretation, and investor workflow analysis
  • Work on flexible, project-based assignments aligned with your investing background
  • Use your market judgment in a focused, detail-oriented research environment
  • Remote structure with competitive hourly compensation

Contract Details

  • Independent contractor role
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling
  • Part-time commitment of approximately 10โ€“20 hours per week depending on project availability
  • Competitive rates between $110โ€“$210 per hour depending on expertise
  • Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or adjusted depending on scope and performance
  • Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
