Job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst, Consumer Data on a 12-month temporary basis on our Consumer Products Business Analysis team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Canada.

The Business Intelligence Analyst, Consumer Data partners with Food and Consumer Marketing leaders to analyze consumer, business, and market data, transforming insights into actionable recommendations that support marketing strategies, merchandising decisions, business initiatives, and data-driven decision-making. What you'll do:

  • Analyze and manage consumer, transaction, membership, and marketing data to deliver actionable recommendations that support business decision-making and strategy development for the Food department.
  • Develop and maintain performance reporting and visualization tools, collaborating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external data providers to analyze data, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives and Consumer Products projects.
  • Identify customer behavior trends and opportunities to improve marketing campaign effectiveness, increase digital engagement, strengthen customer loyalty, and drive overall market growth.
  • Develop and deliver customized reports, presentations, and training materials, translating complex data and analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Who you'll work with:
The Team: You will work closely with Food and Consumer Marketing team leaders and will report into the Manager of Supply Chain Data & Insights. This team cultivates a culture of curiosity and continuous learning, encouraging members to look beyond the surface, and approach their work with diligence, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our Consumer Products business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Food Category, Home and Building Category, Marketing and Operations Teams.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:

  • Have 3-6 years of relevant experience in quantitative or marketing/retail analytics
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business, Statistics/Math, Economics or a related field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Are familiar with online marketing, digital media, web metrics, campaign performance measures and analytic tools.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and MS Office data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI or Strategy preferred), consumer insights, and practical statistical analysis in a business setting.
  • Knowledge of basic SQL considered an asset.
