Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary:
The (USA) Museum Guide leads engaging and informative tours tailored to various visitor groups, enhancing their understanding of exhibits and cultural heritage. This role involves delivering detailed explanations, facilitating interactive educational activities, and providing exceptional customer service. The guide ensures visitor safety by adhering to established protocols and emergency procedures. Continuous learning and mentoring new docents are integral to maintaining high standards. The position supports the museum's mission by promoting exhibitions and programs while upholding ethical standards and fostering a collaborative environment focused on enriching the visitor experience.
About the team:
The team delivers engaging guided tours that highlight Walmart's heritage through interactive and tailored experiences. Members provide clear, detailed explanations of exhibits while upholding high standards of customer service, safety, and ethical conduct. They adapt to various visitor needs, support continuous learning, and foster collaboration. By sharing comprehensive knowledge and creating meaningful connections, the team plays a key role in preserving and promoting Walmart's history and mission. Each member contributes to making every visit informative and memorable, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all audiences.
What you'll do:
  • Lead engaging guided tours for various visitor groups, providing explanations of exhibits
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing visitor inquiries and offering assistance throughout their museum experience.
  • Maintain current knowledge of exhibits and museum content through continuous training and professional development.
  • Ensure visitor safety by following established protocols and implementing emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Operate cash register

  • Answers phone practicing proper phone etiquette
  • Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with duty lists and standards

The hourly wage range for this position is $15.00 - $23.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
