Midas is seeking General Service Technicians for our Indianapolis-area locations. These are entry-level positions performing services such as oil changes, tire installation, filter and battery installation, and other minor services or repairs.
Our shops are open Monday through Saturday with every Sunday off! Techs typically work 5 days each week unless a business need necessitates an additional day. General Service Techs must be able to learn our Digital Vehicle Inspection system to inspect and identify potential repairs or services needed. You must provide your own basic tools (wrenches, sockets/drivers, etc.). Assistance with tools may be available depending on candidate qualifications
This position is hourly but may work into commission dependent upon sales volume. Technicians are paid the greater of hourly or commission, so the more work performed, the greater the income potential.
General duties include:
  • Basic vehicle inspection with Digital Vehicle Inspection software.
  • Oil changes, tire mounting and balancing, tire repairs, checking fluid volumes.
  • Basic quick-lane services.

Job Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with basic automobile services.
  • Ability to use various tools and heavy equipment such as vehicle lift.
  • Excellent physical condition including the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • High school diploma or certification from a vocational/apprenticeship program.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Excellent opportunity to further automotive service experience.

In addition to competitive pay, we offer retirement, paid time off, paid holidays, weekly pay, and direct deposit. We also provide uniforms at no cost to our employees, and we will reimburse testing fees for additional certifications.
Compensation: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
