Description
SUPERVISES: There is no supervision in this position.
SUMMARY: Under general direction, oversees the delivery of client care in the College's Dental Clinic site(s).
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position description should not be interpreted as all inclusive. It is intended to identify the major responsibilities and requirements of the job. The incumbents may be requested to perform job-related responsibilities and tasks other than those stated on this description.
  1. Oversees the clinical environment for the purpose of training students who are providing client care under the direction of a registered dental hygienist.
  2. Provide specific client dental services which can only be performed by a licensed dentist.
  3. Provide information/feedback to students and faculty to support student learning. Attend required clinic meetings.
  4. Maintains required client records and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to observe students, collect information about their client care practices and communicate same to students and faculty.
  • Ability to work with a population of students, staff and faculty from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work diplomatically with internal and external customers and resolve problems/complaints.
  • Ability to use the prescribed College office software.
  • Proficient at delivering services in a clinic environment.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Wisconsin
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a dental practice preferred
