(“NEU”) was incorporated in New York in 1962 as a fully owned subsidiary of NX.  NEU provides logistics solutions and comprehensive transportation services through its international freight forwarding and logistics network, including specialized handling of: air, land, sea and express packages; all types and sizes of cargo; personal effects and household goods; fragile and perishable freight; and livestock.  NEU also provides related services, such as warehousing, distribution and customs brokerage and clearance. Essential Duties:

  • Process Sales Reports & Master Airway Bills.
  • Record Credit Card Payments and Branch Checks.
  • Prepare Various Reports to be submitted to the Head Office.
  • Process payment entries.
  • Correct Sales invoices.
  • Apply payment to open receivable.
  • Process other AR-related transactions.
  • Make Journal entries to record, correct, and/or adjust.
  • File documents.
  • Communicate with branches, Head office, and/or vendors.
  • Other assignments as required by management.

Salary: $22.00/ hourly  

This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Equivalent to appropriate four-year college degree program. Accounting or Finance degree is preferred.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years' accounting experience plus knowledge of a computerized accounting system, ability to work with detail, and good organizational skills
  • Proficiency in various PC/Windows software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding on basic bookkeeping
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Organization Relationships:

Will work with all levels in the organization.

Work Environment:

(With or without accommodations) This position is predominantly sedentary office work, which involves sitting, typing, filing, and conversing on the phone. The position may require lifting 20 pounds. May require some traveling domestically and/or internationally.
