Job description

Experienced Technician
MARINE MECHANIC-TECHNICIAN WANTED (AUTOMOTIVE/DIESEL OR MARINE MECHANIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

Idaho Water Sports in McCall, ID is looking for a motivated individual to contribute to the success of a fast-paced marine dealership specializing in water sports tow boats. We are a full-service dealership for Axis, Malibu & Nautique tow boats, plus Yamaha jet boats, Montara surfing pontoons & Bennington pontoon boats. We work on ALL major brands including Supra, Moomba, Mastercraft & more.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Experience as an automotive/diesel or marine mechanic/technician for a minimum of 1 year
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain marine engines and drivetrains
  • Use diagnostic tools to solve electrical & mechanical faults
  • Install customer accessories such as stereo equipment and lighting
  • Diagnose issues as well as service & repair boat trailers
  • Operate a tow vehicle while trailering a boat
  • Launch & operate a boat for a lake test
  • Perform preventative maintenance such as tune-ups & oil changes
  • Utilize air and power tools
  • Possible fabrication using metal and plastic materials
  • Basic fiberglass finish & repair
  • Gelcoat repair
  • Manufacturer trainings, both online and in-person available & required
  • Problem solving & autonomy
  • Team player that maintains a clean workspace
  • Provide your own tools
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Rotating Saturdays during peak season required
  • Hourly base wage plus production pay averages $20-40 per hr DOE.
