What Does a Day in the life look like?

  • Repair and maintain, stamping dies through welding, machining, grinding
  • Apply GD & T to components to solve dimensional issues during production
  • Understand all tooling stage operations to identify and correct quality and performances concerns.
  • Implement engineering and customer changes
  • Perform tooling repairs due to bad hits, double hits, and setup issues
  • Execute tooling changeovers to support different part production
  • Spot tools to ensure proper metal fit
  • Use circle grid analysis to reduce material stretch and eliminate breakage
  • Maintain tooling nitrogen systems
  • Manage preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory to reduce downtime
  • Identify tool steels and perform heat treatment when required
  • Maintain and troubleshoot die transfer systems
  • Support blank feeders, unloaders, and power feeds
  • Understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems for transfer grippers
  • Safely operate powered tools, hand tools, forklifts, cranes, and moving equipment
  • Maintain, test and repair Die Protection systems with multiple type of sensors as laser, inductive and mechanical.

What You Will Bring (Academic & Experience Requirements)

  • Associate degree or Journeyman Certification
  • Candidates must complete onsite technical assessments in Trigonometry, Blueprint Reading, and Machine/Tool Equipment during the interview process, achieving a minimum score of 75%
  • Minimum of 3- 5 years of journeyman as Tool & Die Maintenance and experience in cold stamping process
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on Class C Steel cold stamping (Desirable)
  • Strong understanding of cold stamping processes (Progressive & Transfer)
  • Knowledge of welding tool steels for repair (required)
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Lockout / Tagout training

Compensation & Shift Details

  • Hourly Rate: $40.18/hour with Shift Differential for 2nd & 3rd shift
  • Relocation Bonus: Provided for candidates living 50+ miles from Hopkinsville, KY
  • Shifts Hiring: 2nd (2pm to 10pm) & 3rd (10pm to 6am)
