Job description

JD-

Lab and infrastructure administration and automation for SGP team development and product releases
Robust hands on expertise in administering VMware products, HPE blade servers, HPE storage, and networking (Broadcom, Aruba, Juniper with Cisco also good as foundational knowledge)
Strong knowledge of networking (virtual networks, firewalls, cybersecurity), Microsoft and Linux, and cloud environments.
Hands-on with troubleshooting access controls, firewalls, VLANs, and Synergy servers.
Strong experience and knowledge of databases (primarily SQL such as MySQL) and backup systems and processes (on-site and remote).
Hands on, in person skills physically working in a datacenter environment including locating and connecting to top of rack switches, servers and storage arrays, locating, and properly troubleshooting and replacing various components from NICs and HBAs to drives and blades.
Being able to work with on-site and remote infrastructure colleagues doing this same (above) hands on infrastructure work. Specifically being able to guide and direct with very clear written and verbal communication on what issues are being observed and specifically what actions should be taken by infrastructure specialists. Likewise to interface with senior infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity resources including being able to follow complex instructions with accuracy and precision.
Ability to use DCIM to monitor and manage lab infrastructure at scale.
VMware, HPE VME, HPE blade servers, HPE storage, Broadcom, Aruba, Juniper with Cisco, virtual networks, firewalls, cybersecurity, Microsoft and Linux, MySQL, Mesos, Distributed computing, filesystem, security protocols, storage system performance
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
