Certified IV Insertion Specialist Per Diem Part Time Full Time

Job Summary
Fairview Skilled Rehab & Nursing Home is seeking a certified IV Insertion Specialist responsible for establishing safe, reliable peripheral IV access for residents requiring intravenous medications, hydration, or other prescribed therapies. This role focuses on timely, accurate IV placement while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Insert peripheral IV lines using proper sterile technique.

  • Assess veins and select appropriate IV sites.

  • Ensure IV access is secure, functional, and comfortable for residents.

  • Monitor for and report complications such as infiltration, phlebitis, or infection.

  • Document all IV insertions and related procedures accurately.

  • Collaborate with nursing staff and providers to ensure timely patient care.

  • Follow all facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Current certification to perform peripheral IV insertion.
