Garbage drivers typically work around 40 hours per week, often with early morning or evening shifts. Overtime may be required during busy periods or to cover route demands, and the schedule can include weekends and holidays depending on the employer. Physical stamina and knowledge of safety procedures are important for this role.

Can a garbage man make 100k?

Garbage collection jobs, such as those performed by sanitation workers, typically do not pay $100,000 annually. However, experienced or specialized workers, such as those with many years of service, supervisory roles, or working in high-cost areas, can potentially reach or exceed this income level through overtime, bonuses, or union negotiations. Most entry-level positions pay significantly less than $100,000 per year.

What jobs pay $250 an hour?

Jobs that can pay $250 an hour include specialized roles such as experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, corporate lawyers, and high-level consultants. These positions typically require advanced education, extensive experience, and often involve working in high-stakes or private practice environments. Freelance or consulting roles in certain industries may also reach this pay level for highly skilled professionals.

Where do garbage men get paid the most?

Garbage collectors, or sanitation workers, tend to earn higher wages in regions with a higher cost of living and stronger union presence, such as certain urban areas or states with higher minimum wages. Factors like experience, certifications, and the employer also influence pay rates, with some municipal or private companies offering better compensation packages.
