Job description

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize injection molding processes within the electrical connector industry. This role plays a key part in mold qualification, validation, scientific molding, and technical problem-solving within an R&D-driven manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement injection molding processes for electrical connector applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve molding issues in an R&D and production environment
  • Conduct mold qualifications and process validations on new tooling
  • Apply and follow scientific molding methodologies
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members
  • Design and adjust End-of-Arm (EOA) / robotic tooling to optimize processes
  • Perform routine mold startups for pre-production runs
  • Support Quality Engineering with product testing and dimensional analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure production goals are met

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics and Polymer Engineering preferred
  • 5–10 years of injection molding process engineering experience
  • Master Molder Certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of mold design
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Work Environment
  • Primarily shop/manufacturing environment during mold startup and process development
  • Occasional office work during troubleshooting and documentation
  • Occasional travel to JAM and external vendors may be required
