JOB SUMMARY
Hamilton Diabetes and Endocrinology Center is a specialty education and physician practice focused on diabetes and endocrinology operated by Hamilton Medical Center (HMC).
Nurse or Dietitian must possess exceptional communication skills and ability to accurately communicate education and instruction to an individual or group of individuals, must be comfortable with public speaking. Nurse or Dietitian is a self-motivated individual who can work independently, responsible for reviewing medical records, assessing patient needs, making recommendations to providers and educating the patient and/or family.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate of Science in Nursing or Graduate of an approved program in dietetics.
Licensure: Current RN License in the State of Georgia; Current CPR Certification; CDE certification preferred but not required (CDE exam preferred after minimum number of hours obtained for exam ) or Current unrestricted professional registration required. Current Georgia Registered Dietitian license required. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) preferred but not required
Experience: Minimum of two years related experience required, experience in diabetes education preferred but not required
Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
