Maintenance Technician - Tacoma/Stadium District

Reports To: Property Manager
Pay: $30-$35/hour | Full-time | Hourly non-exempt

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations of a residential community situated in the Stadium District of downtown Tacoma, WA. This role is responsible for maintaining property systems, completing repairs, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents under the direction of the Property Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance service requests, work orders, and apartment make-readies
  • Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, and structural work
  • Monitor and maintain building systems and common areas
  • Maintain grounds, including trash removal and landscaping upkeep
  • Clean interior common spaces as needed
  • Assist with special projects and vendor oversight
  • Report safety hazards, incidents, or property issues promptly
  • Participate in on-call and emergency maintenance rotation

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience or equivalent
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Physically able to lift up to 50+ lbs and perform repetitive tasks
