The Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Toyota and Scion vehicles in accordance with factory standards. This role requires strong technical ability, a desire to learn continuously, and a passion for working on cutting-edge automotive technology—including hybrid and electric systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform factory-recommended maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid inspections, etc.)

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using Toyota’s diagnostic tools and systems (Techstream, TIS, etc.)

  • Execute warranty repairs in compliance with Toyota Motor Corporation’s guidelines

  • Accurately document all work performed and parts used in the dealership’s repair order system

  • Communicate findings and repair recommendations with the Service Advisor and customers as needed

  • Maintain Toyota certification and participate in ongoing training programs

  • Follow all dealership and Toyota safety, environmental, and ethical standard
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or automotive trade school preferred

  • Toyota or manufacturer-specific training (T-TEN program graduates encouraged to apply)

  • ASE Certification(s) preferred or willingness to obtain

  • 1–3 years of professional automotive experience preferred (dealership experience a plus)

  • Familiarity with Toyota diagnostic systems and repair procedures

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
