Job Description
Operations Intern, Office of the Chancellor
The Operations Intern supports the Office of the Chancellor by assisting with projects that enhance operational clarity, digital organization, and systemwide coordination within System Administration. Responsibilities include contributing to process documentation, organizing digital content, updating SharePoint and Smartsheet, and conducting research to support operational planning. The role also involves engagement across System Administration offices, providing visibility into key departments and exposure to systemwide administrative functions.
This part-time internship (up to 19 hours per week), open to senior undergraduate or graduate students, supports projects that enhance operational clarity, coordination, and digital organization across System Administration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of administrative and operational functions within a complex organization, preferably in higher education
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration and content management tools, such as SharePoint or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to develop clear and concise process documentation
  • Analytical and research skills to support benchmarking and operational improvement efforts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Smartsheet or comparable tools preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing digital content and documentation
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment with evolving priorities

Compensation and Schedule:
Hourly rate: $25.00 per hour
Hours per week will be determined based on the intern's schedule and departmental needs. This is a temporary summer internship running from June 1, 2026, through August 31, 2026.
