Job description

ou will combine analytical, artistic and technological skills to produce graphics for news content and other Bloomberg Industry Group products. You will collaborate with other analysts and reporters on the team to help our clients navigate the complex policy and legislative landscape in Washington. What you will do:
  • Analyze and interpret legislative, economic, and statistical data.
  • Present information accurately and concisely in charts, tables, maps, and other appropriate graphical formats with a clean and modern design aesthetic.
  • Produce content for BGOV OnPoint slides, bill summaries, news stories, and other products.
  • Collaborate with analysts and reporters to fulfill strategic and creative objectives.
  • Juggle multiple deadlines and keep projects moving forward in a fast-paced news environment.

You need to have:

  • 2 years of experience designing graphics and infographics for print and online media.
  • A Bachelor's degree in graphic design, statistics, economics, public policy, communications, journalism or related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization, including interactive visualizations and translating those into static versions.
  • Expertise in standard design tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, JS/D3 and other dvis frameworks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
