          The Construction Technician is responsible for initiating and building customer relationships, while providing technical solutions through our products and services.           Installation, Repair, and Service Delivery<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Install and maintain inside wiring for residential\/business broadband (HSI\/Video) service.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Use and understand automated Dispatch equipment (i.e., handheld terminals), read and understand broadband service orders and trouble tickets, and the use of appropriate broadband test equipment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Effectively use Ziply Fiber's internal programs and dispatch programs to complete assignments.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

          Fiber Construction, Splicing, and Testing<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform single fusion and mass fusion splicing on high\-count fiber optic cables (24\-ribbon and above) in outside plant environments.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Prep, splice, and maintain fiber optic cables in aerial, underground, and indoor settings.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Utilize OTDR, Power Meters, and VFL to test fiber, troubleshoot, and identify network issues.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

          Network Maintenance, Documentation, and Safety<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Effectively use preventive maintenance program by rebuilding aerial\/buried\/underground cables.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Read and interpret Outside Plant drawings.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Read, create, and maintain splicing schematics, blueprints, and engineering documents.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform mid\-sheath entries, bond and ground fibers, and maintain existing plant.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

          <\/span><\/span>        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Adhere to OSHA, NESC, and NEC safety standards, including in\-vehicle safety and work zone setups.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
