Operator 2, Warehouse Operations | Covington, Georgia, United States Operator 2, Warehouse Operations - Forklift Operator Location: Covington, GA 30014 | Contractor | $17.50/hr | M-F 9am-5:30pm About the Role Join a dynamic warehouse team as an Operator 2, specializing in forklift operations and material movement. You'll play a key role in supporting plant logistics, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met. This is a hands-on opportunity for those passionate about warehouse work, with potential to grow within logistics, inventory, or supply chain management. Responsibilities - Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials and products throughout the facility. - Accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to all safety and quality guidelines. - Maintain detailed records of inventory movement and assist with basic warehouse documentation. - Perform routine tasks such as loading/unloading, material handling, and staging products for shipment. - Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow. - Uphold cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment. - Regularly engage in physical activities including lifting (50+ lbs), standing, walking, and repetitive motion tasks. Required Skills and Experience - Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience. - At least 1 year of general warehouse experience. - Demonstrated ability to read, write, and comprehend English documentation. - Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking. - Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (heat/cold, noise, heavy lifting). - Effective communicator with a focus on teamwork and safety. Preferred Skills - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain. - Experience with metrics-driven environments and analytical processes.
