Adecco is hiring a CNC Machinist I for a growing manufacturing facility in Chaska, MN. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with CNC machining experience or technical training who are looking to develop their skills in a precision manufacturing environment.

In this role, you'll operate and maintain CNC equipment, inspect quality parts, read blueprints, and support production operations while working alongside experienced machinists and manufacturing professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications

  • Operate CNC equipment to manufacture precision components

  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed

  • Perform routine quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools

  • Make tool changes, offsets, and basic program adjustments as directed

  • Complete basic machine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacement

  • Identify and report machine malfunctions or quality concerns

  • Maintain accurate production records and machine logs

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Collaborate with senior machinists and operators to continuously improve skills and production efficiency

  • Produce quality parts while meeting production goals and customer specifications

QualificationsRequired
  • CNC machining experience or related manufacturing experience

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred
  • 2-year technical degree, machining certificate, or related training

  • Experience with CNC machine setup and operation

  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation and production reporting

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the shift

  • Frequent use of hands, fingers, and measuring equipment

  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds

  • Ability to perform detailed visual inspections of machined components

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing facility environment

  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical equipment and vibration

  • Occasional exposure to electrical hazards

  • Moderate to high noise levels depending on production activities
