Summary:
The Facility Associate III primarily works in the processing/production area of the facility, handling a variety of donated goods &/or on the sales floor stocking shelves & providing customer service. Assists management in proper facility operation by performing assigned advance tasks & providing leadership to assigned store personnel. Must pass background check.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Must demonstrate willingness & ability to adhere to Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest directives, rules, policies, procedures, & departmental & organizational standards.
Team Leader
  • Represent the company by providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform opening & closing procedures.
  • Ensure the quality & quantity of work performed by assigned employees in accordance with standards.
  • Train employees in a thorough, organized, & timely manner.
  • Assist Facility Managers, Assistant Managers, and Facility Leads in appraising employees.
  • Assist in the maintenance of facility records.
  • Responsible, as designated, for the facility's operation in the absence of Facility Management & Leads including but not limited to: directing the activities of facility personnel; ensuring that all sales transactions are rung & reported accurately; & ensure that donated goods are processed appropriately.

Sorter/Pricer
  • Inspect, sort, grade, &/or assign prices or other actions needed to donated items.
  • Unload containers, sorting & grading items into appropriate bins by quality specifications.
  • Transport stock to & from workstations.

Incidental Functions - A Facility Associate III may perform any or all of the following:
Merchandise Stocker
  • Transport items to & from the sales floor.
  • Place items on shelves, in floor fixtures or on racks.
  • Face shelves, racks, &/or floor fixtures according to display standards.
  • Remove old items from display & place in totes or carts.
  • Assist at cash register wrapping or bagging merchandise.
  • Provide carry-out service.

Tagger/Ticketer
  • Prepare items for sale by hanging clothing, cleaning items as needed and/or bagging items that need to be kept together.
  • Tag, mark &/or code items selected for sale according to designated prices & type of merchandise.
  • Tally amounts &/or prices of processed items.

Cashier
  • Perform opening tasks, including cleaning glass cases, cleaning counters, straightening cash wrap (cashier work station), & stocking supplies for the cash wrap.
  • Perform register closing duties, including counting down register, & completing required cashier reconciliation.
  • Collect cash, check, or charge payments from customers & make change for cash.
  • Provide cash receipts to customers.
  • Pack customer purchase in bags or cartons.
  • Assist with customer service at adjacent workstations.
  • Remove clothes from dressing rooms & rehang them on racks.
  • Remove merchandise stock from sales floor to back room.
  • Answer telephone & provide announcements on paging system.
  • Perform other merchandise stocking duties.
  • Represent the company by providing excellent customer service.

Donor Service Associate
  • Perform opening duties to work station.
  • Review donation area ensuring it is a clean & safe work area.
  • Accept donations from the public, transferring items to the appropriate container, tote, cart, or basket.
  • Assist in loading or unloading trucks, trailers, & waste receptacles.

Breakout/Sort
  • Separate donations by type, not quality.
  • Identify & properly dispose of garbage.
  • Identify & process recyclable material.
  • Transport stock to &/or from workstation.

Cleaner
  • Sweep &/or mop sales floor.
  • Clean windows & dust fixtures & shelves.
  • Clean & supply washrooms.
  • Empty garbage & recycling bins.
  • Police debris exterior to the building.

Other duties as assigned.
