Position summary
Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment in establishment by performing the following duties. Rotates weekend shifts to take call for emergency service calls including repairs beyond normal work hours as required. May be called in at any time to assist with emergency repairs as needed. When on normal call rotation the response time to an emergency should not exceed more than thirty minutes.
Qualifications summary
Carpentry work of at least 6 months of hands-on experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Current valid USA or Canadian Driver's License. Work safely with hand and power tools.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing. Duties and responsibilities
Performs general carpentry as assigned by foreman. Repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, benches, and partitions. Works with one or two students. Hangs doors, replaces windows, window screens, installs weather stripping, interior trim, and finish hardware. Repairs floors and floor tile, repairs steps, builds partitions, works with sheetrock and insulation. Performs general carpentry work. Installs suspended ceiling systems. Replaces damaged ceiling tile, and wall coverings. Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions. Installs nameplates and places directional signs. Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above-ground level. Cleans and repairs gutters and downspouts and makes minor roofing repairs. Repairs bock and brick masonry. Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete, pours and finishes concrete.
