What is an hourly caregiver?

Hourly caregivers are professionals who provide non-medical assistance and support to individuals, typically seniors or people with disabilities, on an hourly basis. Their duties can include helping with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. Hourly caregivers work in clients' homes and are scheduled for specific hours based on the client's needs. They play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life while living at home.

What are some common challenges hourly caregivers face when working with multiple clients in a week?

Compassion, patience, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for connecting with clients and supporting their daily needs. These skills and qualities are vital for ensuring client safety, comfort, and overall well-being in home or assisted living environments.
