Tactical Distribution Management LLC is a Veteran and Minority-owned Amazon Delivery Service Partner based in Durham, NC. We deliver, pickup, and install/assemble oversized packages across the Triangle and surrounding areas.

Were looking for motivated individuals who want more than just a job. Start as a Box Truck Helper and earn a clear path to become a Box Truck Driver as you gain experience, demonstrate performance, and meet eligibility requirements (age 21+, DOT medical certification, and training).

Being an XL Box Truck Delivery Helper is a hands-on, team-based role with opportunities to learn delivery operations, customer service, and logisticspreparing you for a future driver role.

We operate out of HRD2 Amazon Delivery Station (805 S Briggs Ave, Durham, NC 27703)

What Youll Do

As an Box Truck XL Delivery Driver, you will:

Operations & Safety

  • Maintain metrics related to attendance, performance, and safety.
  • Observe routine vehicle inspections
  • Keep your truck clean and ready for daily operations

Road Safety & Driver Support

  • Stay alert and attentive to road conditions at all times, acting as a second set of eyes for the driver
  • Assist with safe backing, parking, and maneuvering by serving as a spotter in tight or high-traffic areas
  • Communicate clearly and proactively to help avoid hazards, obstacles, and unsafe situations
  • Help maintain a safety-first environment throughout the entire route

Delivering & Handling

  • Safely load and deliver oversized packages (furniture, appliances, gym equipment, etc.)
  • Ensure all items are securely loaded and handled with care to prevent damage
  • Follow proper lifting and safety techniquesat all times
  • Work as part of a 2-person team to complete deliveries efficiently

Assembly & Installation Support

  • Assist with in-home delivery, assembly, and installation at customer locations
  • Support the driver by handling tools and following instructions during product setup
  • Help inspect items prior to assembly to ensure quality and prevent damage
  • Assist with testing products to confirm proper setup before leaving the customer location

Customer Interaction

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
  • Solve problems on-site while maintaining a positive attitude

Physical & Skill Expectations

  • Lift up to 70 lbs solo / 300 lbs team lift
  • Push/pull heavy items using dollies and equipment
  • Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, and stair climbing
  • Maintain a brisk pace (15-minute mile walking ability) throughout the day
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Ability to safely assemble products using tools and instructions
  • Maintain focus and safety during long, active shifts

Basic Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • 18+ years old
  • Comfortable using smartphones, GPS, and delivery apps

Schedule

  • 10-hour shifts starting at 9:00 AM
  • Routes operate 7 days a week (1 weekend day required)
