  • Conduct investigations involving securities transactions, deposits, withdrawals, internal transfers, wires, and other money movement activity; determine appropriate disposition, escalation, or reporting requirements
  • Manage daily alert volumes and investigations, escalating matters to AML Management as appropriate
  • Document investigative findings, analysis, and disposition rationale in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
  • Prepare SAR narratives and supporting documentation
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews on higher-risk customers, transactions, and business relationships
  • Review and approve higher-risk wire transfers and money movement activity in accordance with established controls and escalation protocols
  • Investigate complex matters involving related accounts, common ownership, beneficial ownership structures, and interconnected transactional activity
  • Support FinCEN 314(a) requests and information-sharing initiatives under 314(b), as applicable
  • Utilize internal and external investigative tools, public records, and intelligence sources to support investigations
  • Maintain knowledge of AML typologies, broker-dealer risks, regulatory developments, and emerging financial crime trends
  • Partner with Compliance, Operations, Front Office, Legal, and other stakeholders to support investigations, escalations, and remediation efforts
  • Participate in AML-related projects, regulatory initiatives, model tuning, quality assurance reviews, and remediation activities

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience conducting AML transaction monitoring, trade surveillance reviews, investigations, enhanced due diligence, and/or remediation activities within a Broker Dealer is required. Experience in digital assets is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of securities products, including Equities, Fixed Income, Options, ETFs/ETPs, and related trading activity
  • Good understanding of transaction monitoring and surveillance scenarios, alert logic, and disposition methodologies
  • Experience conducting complex investigations, account activity reviews, and suspicious activity assessments
  • Ability to perform enhanced due diligence (EDD) and identify potential financial crime risks
  • Knowledge of AML, KYC, CIP, FinCEN, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, FINRA, and SEC regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Working knowledge of broker-dealer operations and trade settlement processes, including asset movements, ACH, ACATS, DRS, DWAC, wires, and other money movement activity
  • Experience reviewing and investigating securities transactions, wire transfers, and other money movement activity for potential AML or market abuse concerns
  • Proficiency with case management and transaction monitoring systems (e.g., NICE Actimize, Oracle Mantas, or similar platforms)
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is a plus.
