Overview
Join the Med-Surg Neuro unit at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, a 267-bed Level II trauma center with a focus on neurological care, advanced stroke services, and high-quality patient outcomes. This role provides a patient-centered, collaborative environment for RNs passionate about neuro care.
Responsibilities
- Collect comprehensive patient data and perform thorough assessments.
- Advocate for patients as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Analyze assessment data to identify diagnoses or care issues.
- Develop individualized care plans with measurable outcomes.
- Ensure patient safety and effective use of resources.
- Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Provide high-quality care for adults recovering from neurological and medical conditions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care RN experience.
- Florida RN license (or multistate compact license).
- Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred).
- BLS certification required prior to start.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment.
Preferred:
- BSN degree.
- Experience in neuro or stroke care.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $27.72 to $39.60 (based on experience)
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Days / $15,000 Nights
