Job Description
Truck Centers, Inc. is on the lookout for a skilled Dispatch/Transfer Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be shuttling trucks between our Truck Centers locations or to customer terminals. We offer flexible scheduling and mostly same-day shuttle runs, giving you the balance you need.
Shift Available:
  • This part-time role works 3-4 days per week, with flexible scheduling week to week. Shifts run Monday-Saturday and start at 7am.

What We're Looking For:
We're seeking candidates with a positive, can-do attitude, a clean driving record, and a Class A CDL with an air brake endorsement. Strong time management skills are a must!
Your Responsibilities:
  • Safely pick up and deliver customer units to and from our Service Department.
  • Shuttle Class 6-8 trucks or chase vehicles between Truck Centers dealerships or customer sites across IL, IN, and MO.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively and delivering necessary paperwork, documentation, or information regarding work performed or any special accommodations.
  • Keep vehicles clean and presentable, adhering to company standards.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks as assigned.
  • Provide shuttle services to customers to nearby hotels or restaurants when needed, using company vehicles.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Class A CDL with air brake endorsement and ability to meet insurance requirements; must be able to drive manuals
  • Proven knowledge of commercial vehicle equipment and operating systems
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations regarding operating Class 6-8 trucks
  • Resourceful, collaborative team player with the ability to also thrive independently
  • Ability to lift or move up to 70 lbs. unassisted
  • Must participate in a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
