Overview:
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of finished cosmetic products and materials through inspection, testing, and accurate documentation. This role verifies product quantities, packaging specifications, and adherence to company, customer, and regulatory standards, including cGMP and ISO 22716. The Inspector also identifies, segregates, and quarantines non-conforming products for proper disposition, supporting overall product integrity and continuous improvement within the quality system.

Requirements
What You'll Do
  • Inspect and test finished cosmetic products and raw materials following manufacturing to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately document inspection results, observations, and recommendations in batch records, inspection reports, and related quality documentation.
  • Verify and record quantities of products inspected, including both sampled units and total finished goods.
  • Count and reconcile finished product quantities to ensure inventory accuracy and production accountability.
  • Weigh materials, components, and finished goods to confirm adherence to specified fill weights and packaging requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO 22716 (Cosmetic GMP) standards.
  • Identify, segregate, and quarantine non-conforming or defective products, materials, or equipment for proper disposition; communicate issues promptly to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and complete non-conformance reports (NCRs) to document quality deviations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.

What We Require:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 3 years Quality Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and inspection techniques.
  • Proficient computer skills and understanding of quality management systems.
  • Attention to detail, accurate, and concise.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • GMP/ISO experience required.
